Monsoons mean a lot of fun for everyone. But the rains also bring along with them their own set of illnesses. Unfortunately, a lot of people ignore the ill effects to their own health and go about their daily routine withoutconsulting a doctor. This, in the long run, proves to be a major health problem. We at RC Caduceus didn’t like the sound of this and so we decided to do what we do best!!
This 15th August, The Rotaract club of The Caduceus in association with Rotary club of Bombay Central and YMCA bring you Suraksha: An effort to improve healthcare outreach.
Suraksha is a medical camp where approximately 800-1000 people (adults as well as kids) will be screened, examined and treated for certain commonly prevalent illnesses.

Target population: Kids from Balwadis and people from the slums in and around Mumbai Central.
The examination, screening and treatment would be absolutely free of cost for these patients.

This project is aimed at screening the population residing in the slums of Agripada for infectious disease, malaria, hypertension, diabetes, anaemia, nutritional deficiencies and treatment and referral for the same in addition to deworming for the pediatric population.
